Finally, a new layout is up for the month of March. The header is quite simple but I really really wanted to use pictures from the Gili Shani photoshoot. Hope you like the colors. Music for Relief is auctioning off STREET FIGHTER arcade game cabinets custom designed by artists MEAR ONE, Otto Murga of SOTA TOYS, Lemar and Dauley, Scott Spatola and Mike McWhertor of Meat Bun, and Jim Mahfood aka Food One of I AM 8-BIT.

Auction is now live at www.eBay.com/musicforrelief.

Each cabinet comes with a copy of Street Fighter IV for Xbox 360 or PS3 and a limited edition Chun-li figurine (only 700 were made). All proceeds from this auction benefit Music for Relief and the organization’s aid to victims of the wildfires in Victoria Australia.

Linkin Park will headline Summer Sonic 2009 in Japan this coming August. The events will take place at Chiba Marine Stadium in Tokyo and Maishima in Osaka on August 7th, 8th and 9th. It is the historic 10th year of the annual festival.

Tickets go on sale at all ticket locations including Lawson, E-plus, and Pia, on Saturday, May 30 at 10am (local).

PRESS RELEASE: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (http://www.habitatla.org) launched an online auction today at http://www.clothesoffourback.org/habitat featuring hardhats signed by celebrity volunteers and supporters of Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity (http://www.hollywoodforhabitat.com), a partnership between HFHGLA and the entertainment industry. The hardhats are signed and decorated by music, television and film stars including: Green Day, Ricky Martin, Linkin Park, U2, Justin Timberlake, The Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder, 30 Seconds to Mars and more. The auction will run through March 6th at 5:00 pm PST with 100% of the proceeds helping to build more affordable homes in Greater Los Angeles.

LPLive has interviewed the bassist of Cyclefly, an alternative rock band from Cork/Ireland that collaborated with Chester on their song “Karma Killer” a few years ago.
