According to the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti, METALLICA is in talks to play a brand new metal festival with LINKIN PARK (and 11 other bands) at the end of July in the city of Pori (the site of the annual international jazz festival Pori Jazz). The 80,000-capacity event will reportedly take place on either July 25 or July 31 and will apparently be named after METALLICA, who will headline the festival. An official confirmation is expected sometime in early February.

The Making of Minutes to Midnight
Filed Under news | Leave a Comment
From linkinpark.com:
For years, Santa Barbara filmmaker Mark Fiore has been working with Linkin Park to bring you exclusive video content from behind the scenes. Mark spent time in the studio with the band during the making of Minutes to Midnight and later produced a documentary capturing the experience. For those of you in the Santa Barbara area, we recommend that you check out the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to catch this documentary, plus a screening of “Given Up” (also directed by Mark) and “The Seed” directed by Joe Hahn.
Following the screening Mark, Joe, and Phoenix, will lead a discussion about music and film!

Mike’s Blog: Monday Meetings
Filed Under mike blog, pictures | Leave a Comment
Every Monday, the six of us get together at the studio to review the songs’ progress. Since some of the work is being done at home, we use this weekly check-up time to catch up and stay organized. Every few weeks, we vote on the songs, giving them an A-F grade. The votes are tallied, and we keep a running list of which songs we like best. “C” votes and below generally fall off the list pretty quickly. Right now, we’re got about 15 songs that are getting A’s…but sometimes an “A” isn’t good enough…

The site finally has a new layout up. Talinda is featured in it and it’s all girly because February is really close and I wanted something related to Valentine’s Day. I really hope you like it and can’t wait to hear what you guys think.
Also, on a side note. Linkin Lady is celebrating their 6th anniversary today, so go there and wish the site a happy birthday, this layout is dedicated to them ![]()

Win a Chance to Hang Out with Linkin Park
Filed Under music for relief, news, phoenix, videos | Leave a Comment
Grammy-winning California rockers Linkin Park have teamed up with Music for Relief and SocialVibe.com to offer hurricane relief to Haiti.
Band bassist David “Phoenix” Farrell narrates a special PSA detailing the disaster wreaked on Haiti after Hurricanes Fay, Gustav, Hannah and Ike struck the area.
The Music for Relief organization is encouraging users of social networking communites like MySpace and Facebook to embed SocialVibe to their online profiles.
The member who invites the most friends to join SocialVibe.com will win a trip to Los Angeles to hang out with Linkin Park in the studio as they record their fourth studio album.
This is not the band’s first foray into helping victims of natural disasters. As our photo gallery shows, Linkin Park was willing to sweat and get their hands dirty helping to rebuild New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.SIMILAR ARTICLES:
